Is the wind chart good for every angle? Full Power Shots? 2.4? 2.8?
If so, why is SirLamonts wind chart broken down with different angles? And not creedos?

Read this to learn more about that windchart: media.virtuafighter.com/media/gb/WindChart_Addon.jpgThe windchart was created for 2.4 to 3 bar shots, but it's not perfect in every situation (no chart is). For full power, the chart is close, but you must adjust a little bit more, like if you'd adjust 10 angles with 2.4 bars of power, you might adjust 11 angles if you plan on using full power. For lower powers, the windchart is probably not necessary, since lower powers means you're making very short shots anyway. Also, my windchart works best for angles 60 and higher. Below 60 it may fail. If you try to do a 2.4 bar shot and calculate that you need angle 52 after adjustment, your shot will definitely not fly far enough to hit. So when my calculations tell me to use angles lower than 60, I automatically will try adding a little power. Or I change to another shooting method. Sirlamort's is good and covers many different situations, and if you are pro enough to memorize all that information... you should. My windchart uses simple math and only covers 16 wind angles. For winds pointing in between these 16 places you can just estimate/guess. I made it this way because I was hoping people would be able to get into formula shooting easily, and not be scared of big complex charts. |
